About the VR Experience
ABELANA VR PRODUCTIONS together with the World Science Festival organized the first live VR performance designed for a network of location-based VR venues worldwide. A global audience of students and lifelong learners hailing from more than a dozen countries in five continents — Brazil to Israel and Canada to South Africa — experienced a live interactive virtual reality lecture that explored such topics as extra dimensions, unified theory of physics and the multiverse. The VR audience engaged in the social experience of a worldwide virtual classroom led by a bestselling physicist Brian Greene, while creating and handling higher dimensional objects that stretch the bounds of what’s possible in a real environment.
Brian Greene is a professor of physics and mathematics at Columbia University, and is recognized for a number of groundbreaking discoveries in his field of superstring theory. His books, The Elegant Universe, The Fabric of the Cosmos, and The Hidden Reality, have collectively spent 65 weeks on The New York Times bestseller list, and were the basis of two award-winning NOVA mini-series, which he hosted.
